BELL'S PALSY

Bell's palsy is temporary weakness or lack of movement affecting one side of the face. Most people get better within week to nine months.

 

Causes


Bell's palsy often related to having a viral infection but the exact cause of Bell's palsy is unknown.
 

Symptoms


Weakness or total paralysis on 1 side of your face that develops quickly within 72 hours

a drooping eyelid or corner of the mouth

drooling

a dry mouth

a loss of taste

eye irritation, such as dryness or more tears
 

How We Treat


Once a person diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy should start physiotherapy immediately.

Physiotherapy includes: Nerve stimulation by Galvanic current, PNF Exercise, Infrared radiation (IRR), Motor Point Stimulation.
